Patrons: Stephen Banfield, Iain Burnside, Stephen Varcoe

Celebrating English Song fills an important gap in the musical life of the Midlands with three summer afternoon concerts in the simple 18th century church of the rural hamlet of Tardebigge.

Tardebigge Church stands on a hill between Bromsgrove and Redditch in Worcestershire, its slim needle spire a landmark for miles around. To add to the enjoyment of the afternoon there are pre-concert discussions, teas with luscious cakes in the interval, and views across the Severn plain towards the hills of Shropshire.

Applause for Elizabeth Watts and Simon Lepper in August 2007

"This airy, well-lit Georgian building set amid glorious North Worcestershire countryside proved the ideal venue for Sunday afternoon's recital in this series spread over the summer"

Christopher Morley, The Birmingham Post
